About Me
I am Anna Chiara Amato and I am a PhD student in Legal Studies at Bocconi University, curriculum in International and European Law.

I am currently a Visiting Scholar at Columbia Law School (NY).
​
I graduated in July 2017 cum laude and special acknowledgment in Law (Laurea Magistrale a Ciclo Unico in Giurisprudenza (J.D. equivalent) – Major in International Law) from LUISS Guido Carli University (Rome) with a thesis titled: "State Secrets and Human Rights: An Analysis of the Pre and Post-September 11".
I also pursued an L.LM. in International Law and Justice at Fordham University (New York).

Before returning to university to pursue my PhD, I worked as a counsel in the international arbitration practice of Cleary Gottlieb (Rome) and I interned at the Center for Constitutional Rights (New York).
​
I am also a qualified lawyer in Italy (2021) and in New York (2019).
